Emergency Rental Assistance

Low and low-to-moderate income families have been negatively impacted by the unprecedented loss of jobs and reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The inability to pay rent threatens housing stability for tenants in addition to the as well financial viability of owners and operators of affordable housing.  To address this challenge, the City of Toledo, NeighborWorks TOLEDO Region will utilize funding to establish a Rental Assistance Fund to provide housing stability for vulnerable families. 

  • The portal for Emergency Rental Assistance will open to landlords only on Thursday, May 13th, 2021.  For the first two weeks, landlords will be the only participants able to apply for the program.  

  • After this, beginning on Friday, May 28th, 2021, tenants will have the ability to apply.  

  • The direct link for the website to apply for both landlords and tenants is: https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/ERAP-TOLEDOOH/Participant 

  • You will need to create an account using your email and a password.  Then, follow the steps and answer the questions provided. If your landlord applies, you will receive email correspondence stating that they have invited you to apply for the program and you can complete the needed information. Keep in mind that to be eligible for this program you must show a documented financial loss due to COVID-19.
