Information & FAQs for Mortgage Customers 

1. When is my mortgage payment due?

Your Payment is due the 1st day of the month. If it is not received by the 16th of the month a late fee is charged.  If the 16th falls on a weekend or an NTR Holiday your payment must be received before the 16th day of the month.

2. Do I have a grace period?

Yes. Your mortgage payment is due the 1st day of every of the month. You have a 15 day grace period before a late charge is added. If the payment is received AFTER the 16th a late fee will be charged.

3. Can I pay my mortgage with a credit or debit card?

NTR does not accept mortgage payments by phone, credit or debit cards.  You can sign up for ACH Direct Debit Service if you want to have your mortgage payment automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month. Click here for ACH information and authorization forms. 

4.  What do I do if I cannot pay my mortgage payment?

Please contact our Loan Receivable Coordinator at (419) 691-2900 to discuss your options.

 

5. Where can I get help paying my mortgage?

 

Contact NTR at (419) 691-2900 to notify us that you are unable to pay your mortgage.  NTR has options to help mortgage customers that have experienced a financial hardship.  If you qualified for Unemployment or Disability Benefits sometime after January 1, 2014, you may be eligible for  the SAVE THE DREAM OHIO program.  Call (888) 404-4674 or visit http://savethedream.ohio.gov .  No other mortgage rescue programs are available at this time. You can also contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at (888) 995-4673 or visit them at 

https://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/hcc/hcs.cfm  to find a housing counselor to assist you.

6. Can I pay my mortgage off early?

Yes!  Please contact our Loan Receivable Coordinator at (419) 691-2900 for a pay-off amount.

7.  Will my mortgage loan be sold to another lender?

It is possible your loan will be sold to another lender.  If this happens, you will receive written notification thirty days prior to the change.

8.  Why did my monthly mortgage payment amount change?

Your payment may increase or decrease if your property taxes or insurance changes.  Property taxes and homeowners insurance rates change which will cause your monthly payment amount to change. 

9.  Does NTR report my payment history to the 3 major credit reporting agencies?

Yes.  Your payment history is reported on a monthly basis to Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union. It is important to maintain on-time payments to protect your credit score.

What are acceptable Forms of Payment?

We no longer accept cash payments. Personal, Certified Checks, or Money Orders made payable to NeighborWorks TOLEDO REGION and ACH Direct Debit are accepted. 

Payments are accepted in our office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  The office is closed for business Saturday, Sundays and Federal Holidays.
