Toledo Police Next Door

This privately funded program offers Toledo Police officers a down payment incentive of $25,000 to increase homeownership within the City of Toledo.

Eligibility and Getting Started

To apply for the Toledo Police Next Door program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a full-time sworn Toledo Police officer for at least 1 year

2. The home being purchased must be the applicant's future principal residence

Preference is given to first-time homeowners. Participants can choose to purchase a home anywhere within the Toledo City limits.

Applicants do not need to have a home picked out to apply. The down payment assistance is granted as a second mortgage that requires no payments. After 5 years, the loan is forgiven.
